I will overwhelm 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's bout.

Ex two time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice continues to be one of boxing's greatest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is actually going ahead.
